Being featured in Essence Magazine was one of my greatest moments in business. I remember flipping through the pages as a teen and just had to pinch myself that Bailey & Ava was featured.
The Essence feature gave great exposure to my brand, but also helped showcase our mermaid skirt. I quickly sold out of the small run that I had available, and the skirt only grew in popularity.
Essence really captured the heart of Bailey and Ava, “a girl’s Halloween costumes oasis...stunning costumes that help girls transform into fierce, radiant and ultra-glam princesses, superheroes and mystical creatures.”
Since then, I have grown the collection and I added some gloriously soft and beautiful fabrics. A customer favorite is our purple and teal combo and customers rave about the softness and quality of the fabric.
I'm working on expanding the line even more and I have to thank Essence Magazine for the feature for helping promote small business.
